Golf Carts
- Maximum speed allowed for these Golf Carts is 20 MPH
- No cart may be operated by anyone under 14 years old
- If a cart is rented, the operator must be at least 18 years old
- If a cart is being operated after dark, it must have headlights, taillights, brake lights and turn signals. It must also have a windshield and a rear view mirror. It must be equipped with reflective warning devices on the front, rear, and both sides of the cart
Low Speed Vehicles
- Maximum speed for LSV is 25 MPH
- These vehicles may operate on streets where the posted speed limit is 35 MPH or less.
- The operator of these vehicles must have a valid drivers license
- The vehicle must have registered license plate and be insured
- A simple rule of thumb - An "LSV" can be operated like an automobile on a road whose speed limit is 35 MPH or less.
- Any one operating a Golf Cart or an LSV can be issued a traffic citation for violations such as running a stop sign, speeding, crossing over two lanes to make a left turn, or violating the night driving rules.
Remember Golf Carts and LSV's are much smaller than automobiles, and will lose the battle every time. There are no air bags, or chassis to absorb the the impact. Always use your turn signals and check your blind spot.
Illegal modifications to any Golf Cart or LSV can result in charges being brought against the person or company making the change.
THINK SAFETY __ DRIVE SAFELY !!
