Having lived in Ft Lauderdale for 25 years; we were anxious to go back for a visit.

These were the Great Restaurants we loved:

    Yesterdays
    The Down Under
    Harrisons
    Frankie's
    Stan's

All have closed; in many cases the Buildings are not even standing. So many stores along the Beach are gone or closed. We were so dissapointed that we came home early.

One thing that is still the best in the world, is that fantastic Beach
Hope your former city residence is not as sad as ours.

If you are looking for a great location to spend a few days; Puerto Vallarta is one of the most enjoyable places we have visited. Great scenery, marvelous food, shopping for everything Mexican and perfect weather. It's casual, it's laidback and it has many beautiful Hotels. We have been around the world but this is a keeper.
